Walking Dead News From Comicon

Along with the summer heat, comes one of the most popular conventions known to man, that I've never actually been to.  Comicon at the San Diego Convention center has been enthralling comic book fanboys, and just overall self proclaimed "geeks" now for forty one years.  For those who have not followed the history of the conference, what used to be a gathering of like-minded comic book fans is now a galla for the whose who of Hollywood.  Every year tons of movies are introduced to the world at Comicon.  This year, for example, AMC announced that they would be premiering a show based on the beloved comic "The Walking Dead".  It looks absolutely amazing.  It isn't set to premiere until October, but from what I have seen so far from Comicon and the web, it has great potential.  As popular as the Zombie genre is, it's hard to believe that there aren't more Zombie shows on tv.  Once would think that the executive heads of the major networks would want to hone in the young to middle aged man's fascination with Zombies.  I, for one, will be watching when "The Walking Dead, premiere in October.  One can only hope that more people will be as well.
